On Saturday 3 October, Sciences Po Paris hosted AFRICA Day 2026, the flagship event celebrating African excellence, organised by the French-African Foundation with Sciences Po and AXIAN Group. More than 5,000 students and young professionals were expected, with around a hundred speakers and some thirty panels.
Aurélien Tchouaméni and Jonathan Kebe, founder of ESN, took part in the conference. During the “Players Only” session, Aurélien shared the stage with Ronny Turiaf, former NBA player and France international. On the agenda: the development of sport in Africa, everyday discipline, mental health in elite sport and athletes’ financial management, topics rarely discussed so openly. The conversation continued with a Q&A with the audience.
For ESN, this moment sums up what we believe: a player’s career is also built off the pitch, and their voice can inspire a whole generation.
