The MK Cup is the event created by Manu Koné in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, the town where he grew up. A football tournament, but not only that: around the pitch, spaces dedicated to jobs, entrepreneurship, football careers, performance and culture, so that local young people leave with a contact, an idea, a lead.
Football tournament, closing concert with Guy2Bezbar and five zones open all day. In the business zone, partners met young people for practical conversations about jobs and training; in the football careers zone, Ligue 1 referees, a press officer, journalists, a physiotherapist and a sports doctor talked about their daily work; the performance zone combined nutrition and virtual reality headsets; the culture zone welcomed manga artist Tiers Monde.
Every edition ends with music, free, for the whole town: L2B Gang, RSKO, YSR and 2Raffale from the very first edition in 2022; a bigger line-up in 2023 with Lim’s, L2B Gang, Beendo Z, SLK, Genezio, Le Top So Thug, R2S, BKL Yonko and Saamou Skuu, hosted by DJ Babs; then Guy2Bezbar in 2025.
The ambition
“One day, I'd like people to be able to say: I saw Manu Koné, I found a job and I became an engineer or a minister.”Manu Koné
